· Dommar provided a number of resources in the role of Project Management support having experience working in city congested areas and/or with open cut tunnelling, tunnel ramps and tunnel portals in particular being built within congested and trafficated inner city environments. The Dommar resource worked within the broader DPTI project delivery team and were predominantly based full time at or near the O’Bahn construction site.
· The Dommar resources through their project delivery experience obtained working in similarly congested city works enhanced project delivery safety and minimised impact to local residents, businesses, schools, the general commuting public and public transportation. Not limiting those impacts attributed to noise, vibration and air quality.

· The Darlington Upgrade Project is a significant part of the delivery of Adelaide’s North-South Corridor. The upgrade will extend the existing Main South Road by approximately 3.3 kilometres
· Over the construction phase of this project, Dommar has provided many resources comprising of a Design Managers and many Project Managers (including quality / project managers to SA Water Corporation also working on the project).
· The Dommar resources enhanced the performance of the DPTI team working in close collaboration with the principal construction Contractor resulting in joint problem solving, the fast track delivery of an efficient design optimising deliverables and allowing early engagement of works.
· Relocation of existing contestable services was an early performance milestone required to allow early construction access.

· Dommar was engaged in role Senior Project Manager for the construction delivery phase of the project.
· Dommar’s resource is required to have senior management skills working in complete isolation having the experience and leadership skills to make on the run decisions. In many circumstances this requires ongoing liaising with the local community elders with regards to formalising final road alignments, access and removal of non-significant tress and vegetation, the establishment of borrow pits, construction camp sites and laydown areas.
· The project covering many hundreds of kilometres is being delivered working many fronts simultaneously requiring the Dommar Sen. Project Manager to travel vast distances every day between the multiple work fronts and having to return to camp every evening.

The Dommar’s resources through their team leadership and project delivery experience enhanced project delivery efficiency and team collaboration, resulting in joint problem solving, an efficient best for purpose quality design and its construction delivery for a project that was delivered in the heart of Adelaide city challenged with vehicle and commuter traffic all whilst striving to maintain access to local businesses and supply services (eg water, sewer, power, coms, etc).

· Dommar have assigned a number of Project Managers to assist with the delivery of these works with some of our resources being based in Adelaide with others based in regional area such as Pt Augusta South Australia.
· The skills provided by Dommar mainly comprised of Project Management it also required the provision of wider scope comprising of contract management and works verification including monitoring of safety, quality and environmental management.
· The dommar resources are responsible for scheduling the works across a number of construction contractors whereby taking advantage of their synergises regarding speciality, locality and nature of the works best fit with each contractor’s core experience and capabilities.
· The minor works are programmed according to take into account specific issues such as but not limited to; local safety hazards attributed to road traffic conditions, topographical access and weather seasonal conditions (eg works performed outside of public holiday periods & festive periods an possibly not during periods of wet weather / possibly stormwater flooding, etc)
· Continuous implementation and monitoring of the program of minor works with a focus to foster elevated safety awareness and ‘Zero Harm’ culture throughout the many work areas.
